I think you managed to look remarkably positively engaged, all things given.
But Andy: white??? shirts??? You weren't giving yourself any break, there! (Although it is liturgically kind of fun, this year joining the church and all ;). )
Jeff - the background looks like a standard master's background (though, in my opinion, a little on the light side... I prefer a masters to have some brown)
Andy - the white is really high contrast, I'm curious if the scanned image you have online, is that how it looks on the print, or is your scan a bit bright?
It's not a bad shot, but the generic background does make it look like a school photo. :)

nothin wrong with that picture.
I'll be honest; I like the picture of you in the red thing better.
OMG! You look fifty in that picture. Definitely not aging well. And those teeth! Can't you do something about them?
DJ: I agree.
Anon: I don't know about 50, but the photo does make me look like the world's oldest 8th grader. I guess I got held back a few years.

I know...as soon as I saw the print I thought, "Oh...that was a mistake." Oh well.
Aw, it's a good photo, Andy.
But that background. Are those supposed to be heavenly clouds?

I don't think that photo does you justice.
