Please tell me you like it for the musicality and not because the weekends are catching up to you....

I heard this song for the first time on Sunday in the tow-truck. (I'm still working on that story.) I liked it right away; I'd never even heard of Amy Winehouse, but I love her voice and I just like the posture of the song.

Are you kidding?! The song is pretty ubiquitous, and she's been brilliant since before this album, m'dear. Really, you should listen to music that LIVING people are making, every now and again. My cell phone plays the chorus every time anybody calls. Unfortunately, Ms. Winehouse may not be long for this world if she keeps up her current behaviour. She was recently admitted to hospital for what her spin-doctors called "exhaustion"; it turns out she was in a coma after mixing...well...a bunch of substances that you really shouldn't mix. *sigh*

DJ, don't be such a snob. Dead white guys write perfectly wonderful music!

I know! And I make a good chunk of my living performing what they've written. But all the same...Music continues to be written. Some of it's even good! ;-)

Dear God! THis is all we listened to in P-town. We pretty much played it non-stop when we were in the condo, and then sang it constantly when we were out at the bars. I'm working on learning it for the piano bar gig.

Fun times!
