Hillary Clinton won the New York Democratic primary with only 87% of the vote! I bet that showed her.
Sigh.

it appears there may not be so many like you that you think ther are.
i've always felt the democrats have lost their base long ago, and give far too much authority to their fringe.
but thats what a fringe is, the left overs who really dont fit in the mainstream. sure, they are their for money and manpower at election time, but they cannot show up in any numbers for election day because the numbers dont exist.
the right has their fringe also, but they can put up numbers because it is a sizeable fringe.
case in point: here in CA, we had one of those liberal tax raising GOP governors, a dude named wilson.
since he was the sitting gov, there was no regular party oppo to him in the reelection primary.(1996). at the last possible minute to file, a guy showed up and ran a campaign against him. this challenger, viewed by party regulars as a two bit nothing, ended up with nearly 40% of the vote.
:) At least you have someone real to read about... we have the option here of voting for "Mike the Mover" who, it appears, is using the half page entry in the voter's pamphlet to send messages to people in politics in a semi-poetic way. Glad to know people take politics seriously here *rolling eyes*
In a sad, yet optimistic way, I think that most Democrats still have hope for Hillary, were she to run for President.
I, for one, fear a Hillary first time presidency. However, a Hillary second term may not be so bad.
If Hillary runs, there may well be a big upset in Washington, when an Independant becomes Prez.
I personally wouldn't vote for her with her flip-flop Gay marriage Amendment Bull-shite, and I would rather an Independant win than someone alighned with Christian (taliban) Conservatives!!
Wake up! . . . . . Progressive America!!
