Ooh! Very cute, but please use a paper bag instead! Maybe if you don't have kids you don't know about plastic bag asphixiation?

my dog would TOTALLY bang your cats!

I'm with Elizabeth on this one. The concern of asphyxiation is a big one.

Of course, many people (including myself in the past) tend to think that asphyxiation isn't that big of a concern with cats. After all, it's easy to assume that a cat would just claw through the plastic bag and get out that way. And in some cases, that's true.

But a cat's ability to shred a plastic bag actually creates a different hazard. In effect, it enables a cat to tear off a small piece of the plastic bag and swallow it, only to have it clog the cat's airway on the inside.

At any rate, Elizabeth is also correct in that it's an adorable picture.

Hey now, I'm not that bad a parent. I had been home from Bed, Bath & Beyond for about 5 seconds before she crawled in and made herself a home, LOL. Don't worry, I don't let her sleep in plastic bags.

I am more concerned about the kittens close proxmity to what appears to be a very smelly pair of sandles!

Actually, kittens love smelly shoes and sandals. My Precious (who is actually past the kitten stage, but try telling her that!) considers my smelly old shoes one of the best kitty toys ever. How she's managed to stay conscious while sticking her head inside one of them is beyond me.

Bed Bath and Beyond? I didn't see that in the Garment District. Did you have to go outside of the city for a big store like that as a result of the dire lack of space in Manhattan (BB&B's about the size of a Super K around here)

There's two, actually, in Manhattan, that I know of. One is in Chelsea (of course it is) on Sixth Avenue at about 18th, and the other is on Broadway up near Lincoln Center. The Chelsea store is enormous. We've also got a Homo Depot on 23rd Street not far away.

(Okay, some other worrywarts already got on the plastic thing--and you made us all feel better, so I'll go on to the main point...)

That photo's terrific! I love it!
