I know it's a day late, but for a patriot like me, every day is Indepencence Day! (Except for August 13th, of course)
(Sorry, I was chomping at the bit after reading your request to celebrate American independence from Britain ...)
Ugh...Frankly, I almost wish America weren't independent from Britain. Things being what they are, we'd have better pop music and better slang, and we'd be forced to spell things properly!
It'll be a cold day in hell before I'll say "shed-yul" or "con-TRAH-vuh-sy."
