Calling off the Dogs

So the White House has officially called off the search for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

Are they nuts? Who's handling public relations for them? For an administration that refuses to admit making any mistakes, canceling the search is like standing on a big hill and waving a white flag. If they had any sense they'd at least keep up the pretense.

Yeah but it had to happen sooner than later, and franckly all PR practioners know that once the lying starts it's time to bail not only for their onw careers but for America.

No need to worry; this wasn't even reported in the Times today. No one will notice, and people will go on believing there are WMD buried in the desert somewhere . . .

Well, it was the subject of the lead editorial in today's Times. But it's true...you'd have expected a banner headline: WHITE HOUSE CALLS OFF SEARCH.

In fact, the search was concluded about three weeks ago.
