So I was eating my lunch on a bench today along the East River at the end of Wall Street. As always, there was quite the variety of freeloading birds hopping around. One particular lesser black-backed gull (no, I looked it up on Google) was pacing up and down along the railing, making an astonishing variety of sounds.
He stopped in front of me, looked me square in the eye, and, I swear, he meowed at me.

That must have been one cold lunch...
Not especially, it's 53 in NY today.
That's one scary-looking bird.
Sea Gulls are known to mimic other sounds- I guess he judged you to be a "cat person".
